Adventist Medical Center-Valencia City, Inc. celebrated its 29th year of service as a healthcare provider in the province of Bukidnon. With the theme “Advancing the Ministry of Christ Valiantly,” AMCV strives to uphold its mission in extending the healing ministry of Christ through wholistic, excellent care, and living a healthy lifestyle.
The month-long festivity started on September 5, 2022 during the Worker’s Day commemoration along with the launching of the 2022 Sports Festival. The games were participated by four teams: Red Team (Sputnik), Yellow Team (AstraZeneca), Blue Team (Pfizer), and Green Team (Moderna) which are comprised of the workers from the different departments.
The festival did not only rejuvenate the physical facet of the players but most importantly revived the spirit of sportsmanship, honesty, humility, and teamwork.
And finally on October 13, 2022 Thursday, the Celebration came to its peak. It began in a motorcade around the City, followed by the opening ceremony with Dr. Remwil Tornalejo, Mountain View College President, as the guest of honor speaker, who redefined the fundamental purpose of the healthcare in God’s plan of salvation.
The free dental and medical consultations followed the opening event initiated by the Health and Wellness Department through the leadership of the Vice President for Medical Affairs, Dr. Gladdays C. Napigkit assisted by dedicated Medical Consultants and Residents on Duty. The dental service was spearheaded by Dr. Elvin Mandalupa, AMCV Board Member, together with his team of volunteers. All in all, they served 106 patients who came to celebrate and avail the free services.
The founding celebration concluded with a thanksgiving program in the afternoon at the MYX Sports Center, Hagkol, Valencia City. During the program, the Human Resource Management and Development Officer, Ma’am Remedios V. Banquiao, awarded the loyal workers who have served AMCV for 5, 10, 15, 20, & 25 years. At long last, the winners of the Sports Festival were recognized and awarded by the Social Committee sports coordinators and the management. Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Janellie C. Sumatra, closed the program with her remarks of gratitude, commendation, and expression of joy for the participation, unity, and service to all who made the celebration possible.
God is great and worthy to be praised! Here’s to 29 years and counting. Cheers to AMCV!
